Ferrari’s Dynamic Duo: Leclerc and Sainz Gear Up for the 2024 Season
Entering their fourth consecutive season as teammates, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are poised for another thrilling year in 2024. However, the anticipation surrounding the new campaign has been overshadowed by the news of Lewis Hamilton’s forthcoming move to Ferrari next season, marking the end of his enduring partnership with Mercedes. Consequently, Sainz will relinquish his spot for the seven-time world champion, while Leclerc recently penned a fresh contract with the team.
As Ferrari gears up for the extensive 24-race season ahead, the spotlight shines on maximizing the potential of the SF-24 package following Ferrari’s solitary victory in 2023, under the stewardship of Frederic Vasseur, who embarks on his second term as team principal. Vasseur expressed his enthusiasm for the unveiling of the new car, emphasizing the team’s ambition to build on their past successes and pursue continuous improvement across all fronts.
Recognizing the challenges posed by the longest-ever Formula 1 season, Vasseur stressed the importance of strategic race management and bold decision-making to achieve optimal results in each Grand Prix. He also underscored the invaluable support of Ferrari’s global fanbase, known as the ‘tifosi’, whose unwavering passion and dedication serve as a driving force for the team.
Ferrari has confirmed that the SF-24 will undergo an initial track outing for promotional purposes ahead of pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 21-23.
