Lexus IS350 Lands in the UAE: A Sports Sedan Refined for the Modern Driver

Al-Futtaim Lexus has officially introduced the latest iteration of the IS350 to the UAE market, continuing a legacy that stretches back to 1999 when the first-generation IS made its regional debut. More than two decades on, this compact rear-wheel-drive sports sedan remains one of the most recognisable names in the Lexus lineup, and this newest evolution makes a strong case for why.
The focus this time around is unmistakably on the driving experience. Lexus has reworked the Electric Power Steering with a variable gear rack, allowing for sharper turn-in through corners and tighter path tracing at intersections, without sacrificing the planted, composed feel during highway cruising. The Adaptive Variable Suspension has also been tuned to better absorb road imperfections while keeping that direct, communicative character the IS has always been known for.
On the safety front, the updated Lexus Safety System + brings a broader suite of driver assistance features, including Lexus Teammate Advanced Drive, a system specifically designed to ease the demands of longer highway journeys.
Visually, the IS350 gets a refreshed front end that pushes a wider, lower stance to the forefront. F SPORT variants add a newly designed rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics alongside 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels. Eight exterior colours are now available, with the addition of Neutrino Gray — a metallic light grey with a hard-edged, kinetic quality that suits the car’s character well.
Inside, the cockpit has been meaningfully upgraded. Both the centre infotainment display and the driver’s TFT instrument cluster have grown to 12.3 inches each, improving readability and reducing the need to look away from the road. New “Forged Bamboo” trim on the upper console adds a layered, tactile quality to the cabin, while a new interior colour called Prominence — warm, vivid, and clearly inspired by solar tones — gives the sporty trim levels a bolder personality.
