Nissan Middle East Closes FY2025 as Most Profitable Year Ever — Patrol, SUVs, and Market Comebacks Lead the Charge
Nissan Middle East has wrapped up Fiscal Year 2025 (April 2025 – March 2026) on a historic high, recording its most profitable year ever as a regional entity. Managing 18 markets across the Gulf (excluding KSA), Levant, and CIS, the brand’s Middle East operations played a significant role in propping up Nissan’s global “Re:Nissan” turnaround plan.
Sales grew 3% over FY24, and a cumulative 35% compared to five years ago — steady, disciplined growth that the brand attributes to well-timed product launches, expanded dealer networks, and stronger customer engagement.
SUVs Rule — No Surprise There
In a region built for big, capable vehicles, Nissan’s SUV lineup accounted for nearly two-thirds of all regional sales. The Patrol, as expected, led from the front — posting 10% growth year-on-year. FY25 also marked the Middle East debut of the Patrol PRO-4X and the world premiere of the all-new Patrol NISMO, keeping the nameplate firmly in the spotlight.
The X-Terra grew 13% year-on-year, the X-Trail held its ground as a family favourite, and the newly arrived Magnite made an impressive entrance — scooping up nearly 10% of the entire SUV and crossover lineup in its very first year on sale.
Sedans and Sports Cars Hold Their Own
On the passenger car side, the Sunny and Altima kept volumes ticking, while the Nissan Z — always a statement car in this market — gained extra momentum with the launch of its long-awaited NISMO edition.
Market Highlights
The UAE remained Nissan’s largest market, with two dealer partners alone generating over half of all regional sales. Kuwait surged 30%, driven almost entirely by Patrol demand. Iraq more than doubled its sales in just its second year under a new partner agreement, and Oman saw a near-fourfold jump, also in its second year of market re-entry.
What’s Coming in FY26
Nissan isn’t slowing down. Key moves on the horizon include:
- NissanConnect expansion — currently live on the Patrol in the UAE, it’s being rolled out across more models and markets
- All-new Navara PRO — China-sourced, and heading to the region
- Syria return — Nissan is among the first global automakers to officially confirm re-entry into the Syrian market
It’s shaping up to be another big year for the brand across the Arabian Gulf and beyond.
