ROX to Build Middle East’s First Advanced AI Manufacturing Centre in Abu Dhabi

Read Time:1 Minute, 5 Second

ROX, a global AI technology company, has signed a strategic agreement with KEZAD Group to establish the Middle East’s first Advanced AI Manufacturing Centre in Abu Dhabi — and it’s targeting serious scale: 300,000 vehicles annually by 2030.

Announced at Make it in the Emirates 2026 — which we attended firsthand — the facility is set to come online in the second half of this year, positioning Abu Dhabi as a genuine player in intelligent vehicle manufacturing, not just a market for importing them.

Why this matters: The centre isn’t just a factory. ROX is building a full intelligent automotive manufacturing ecosystem in Abu Dhabi, plugged into KEZAD Group’s industrial zones and multimodal logistics network. The company has also planted its flag firmly in the UAE, with its global HQ in Abu Dhabi and a regional parts hub already running in Dubai.

On the numbers side, the project could contribute up to 10% of the UAE’s Operation 300Bn target — the government’s push to triple industrial output to AED 300 billion by 2031.

For a region long defined by oil exports and car imports, watching “Made in the Emirates, Made for the World” go from slogan to factory floor is something else entirely.

We’ll be following ROX’s progress closely as production ramps up — stay tuned.
