‘Raptor Land’ Middle East Becomes First Region to Welcome All Three of Ford’s Off-Road Performance Beasts
In a world-first, three of Ford’s most iconic off-roading giants are available in the same region, at the same time. The Middle East will be the first territory to have the Ford F-150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, and Ranger Raptor all at once.
“Raptor represents the pinnacle of Ford off-roading performance, and its unique DNA unites the three distinctive nameplates,” explained Pedro Simões, Marketing Director, Ford Middle East. “Matching their leading off-road capability, power, and performance is a rugged, aggressive design language that accentuates an all-conquering personality.
“With its diverse offering of challenging terrain, the Middle East offers an ideal environment for the Raptor to roam – and as the first region to be home to all three Ford Raptors, we’re proud to call it Raptor Land.”
Ford Bronco Raptor: Extreme and Untamed
The newest of the three is the Bronco Raptor – a perfect marriage of iconic off-road heritage fit for conquering all kinds of terrain, from boulders to sand dunes. Built Untamed and equipped with state-of-the-art technology and hardware, the Bronco Raptor was built by Ford Performance to be the world’s first Ultra4 Racing-inspired SUV.
Capable of racing through the desert at highway speeds, the Bronco Raptor’s 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine can deliver 418 horsepower and 596Nm of torque, while a Raptor HOSS 4.0 race-ready suspension system, a fully boxed, high-strength steel frame, and standard 37-inch all-terrain tires round off the SUV’s off-road arsenal – all accented by the distinctive Raptor family signature look.
For higher-speed desert capabilities or crawling over rocks, the compacted graphite iron-block engine, which saves weight while providing strength for added durability, is paired with a 10-speed SelectShift™ automatic transmission tuned to meet Ford Performance standards. A true dual-exhaust system, featuring first-for-Bronco active-valve technology, uses near-equal-length pipes for an improved exhaust note. The system allows drivers to alter the sound of their Bronco Raptor with four selectable exhaust modes, including Normal, Sport, Quiet and Baja.
Bronco Raptor builds on the brand’s exclusive G.O.A.T. Modes™ (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) Terrain Management System™ designed to help drivers better navigate off-road. Seven driver-selectable modes include a uniquely tuned Baja Mode that activates a turbo anti-lag calibration to maximize performance over high-speed desert runs. New to Bronco is Tow/Haul mode, which helps enable a tow rating of 2,041 kilogram, a 1,000-pound improvement over the base model. Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist and Trail One-Pedal Driving are also included.
Ranger Raptor: Ride Like No Other
From its high-performance 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 delivering up to 292kw (392hp) and 583Nm torque to the adaptable FOX suspension system, the next-gen Ranger Raptor delivers phenomenal performance, on road and off.
Now available in its second generation, the Ranger Raptor lets drivers master any kind of tough terrain, with seven selectable drive modes and a re-engineered suspension with Ford Performance-developed FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve internal bypass shock absorbers.
Mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission – each gear programmed with its own boost profile – Raptor’s new engine delivers effortless acceleration on gravel, dirt, mud and sand. And, with an electronically controlled active exhaust system that amplifies the engine note in four selectable drive modes (Quiet, Normal, Sport and Baja), the Raptor’s vocal character ranges from mild to wild.
Thanks to the Ranger Raptor’s Terrain Management System, drivers can adjust acceleration, traction control, steering sensitivity, and gear change behavior to six preset modes to maximize performance in all conditions. These are Normal mode; Sport mode; Grass, Gravel and Snow mode; Mud and Sand mode; Rock mode; and, for unbeatable off-road performance, Baja mode.
F-150 Raptor: Ultimate Pick-up Power
The all-new Ford F-150 Raptor brings unprecedented power, toughness, and design to the world’s favorite pick-up truck. A new five-link rear suspension design with next-generation FOX™ shocks with Live Valve™ technology is inspired by trophy trucks that race at Baja and Johnson Valley. Aggressive design with new styling from the ground up helps make this third-generation Raptor a tougher and more capable off-road performer.
A high-output 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine delivers more low-end torque, while a 10-speed automatic transmission and aluminum steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters make this pick-up easier to handle than ever.
Ford has brought some serious upgrades to the newest F-150 Raptor – including a two-speed 4×4 system with automatic torque-on-demand transfer case and 4.10 final drive ratio, as well as a trailer tow rating of 3,700kg and payload rating of 635kg.
With a 136-litre extended range fuel tank and a Terrain Management System with seven Selectable Drive Modes – Slippery, Tow/Haul, Sport, Normal, Off-Road, Baja, and Rock Crawl – the F-150 Raptor takes you wherever you need to go without fear for fuel.
Meanwhile, standard electronic-locking rear differential and available TORSEN® front differential and Trail Control with new Trail 1-Pedal Drive offer drivers greater control over even the roughest terrain.
The F-150 Raptor’s design cues feature rugged, aggressive styling inside and out, with a signature look that befits the truck’s position at the pinnacle of performance – including a blacked-out grille with integrated marker LEDs and black headlamp surrounds.
All three Raptors feature SYNC4 Enhanced Voice Recognition and a large digital instrument cluster, while Ford Co-Pilot360 technology offers an array of standard and available driver-assist and safety technologies.
“Raptor is the apex of our off-road lineup, offering a unique blend of performance, technology, and design that you can’t get from anyone else,” Simões added.
