The announcement from Dodge regarding the new era of automotive muscle introduces the world’s first electric muscle car and the brand’s first multi-energy muscle car, the all-new Dodge Charger. Here’s a breakdown of the key points:

 

Electric Muscle Car Debut: Dodge unveils the next-generation Dodge Charger, which retains its title as the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car. The lineup includes the all-new, all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, boasting 670 horsepower and expected acceleration from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds.

 

Performance: The electrified models are joined by the gas-powered 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, delivering 496 horsepower. All models feature standard all-wheel drive and various performance options, including different powertrain choices.

 

Charger Daytona Models: Production of two-door coupe versions of the all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and R/T will begin in mid-2024, with four-door models following in the first quarter of 2025. Gas-powered models are also scheduled to begin production in the first quarter of 2025.

 

Environmental Strategy: Dodge’s announcement aligns with the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, aiming to cut the global carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 and achieve net carbon zero by 2038.

 

Electric Powertrain: The new Charger utilizes a 400V propulsion system with a high-voltage battery pack and dual integrated charge module. The battery pack delivers 100.5 kWh installed capacity and a peak discharge rate of 550 kW.
