Honda has unveiled the refreshed 2025 Vezel in Japan, bringing subtle yet notable updates to its popular compact crossover, known as the HR-V in Europe. The new model year introduces minor visual enhancements, a rugged “Hunt Package,” improved hybrid powertrain, and updated safety features.

Visual Updates and “Hunt Package”

The 2025 Vezel retains its distinctive design but sports a redesigned front bumper, revised LED taillight graphics, and a squared-off grille for a refreshed look. Notably, the “HuNT Package” offers outdoor-inspired additions like roof rails, Shark Gray Metallic wheels, orange accents, and water-repellent upholstery, catering to adventurous drivers.

Interior and Safety Enhancements

Inside, the Vezel maintains its digital instrument cluster and infotainment display, now complemented by improved safety features such as traffic jam assist and adaptive high beams. Honda Connect enables remote control of the electric tailgate via smartphone, enhancing convenience.

Enhanced Hybrid Powertrain

The Vezel continues to offer a choice between a 1.5-liter petrol engine and a self-charging hybrid powertrain, available in both FWD and AWD configurations. Honda has refined the hybrid’s driving characteristics and introduced an updated energy management system to reduce engine noise in urban environments.

Availability and Outlook

Scheduled for launch in Japan in April 2024, the updated Vezel is expected to bring similar enhancements to the EU-spec HR-V in the coming months. With its refreshed design and added features, the 2025 Vezel aims to maintain its appeal among compact crossover enthusiasts.
